Volunteers: Please attend this event promptly by 6:30AM, as we need to organize work locations.
We will need workers for many areas. We will assign your preference when possible, but may need some flexibility in work assignments depending on the turn out. Please review the duties below and indicate your preference to the person when you check in at the registration area. Number of workers needed And work areas:
#3 Friday 3:30PM-4:30PM Packing promotional bags at the Village Hall and organizing pre-registration list
#2 Friday 4:00PM-6:00PM Work the pre-registration at the Village Hall
#2 Saturday 5:45AM-6:15AM Post route markers and signage, set up water tables on route
#1 Saturday 6:00AM-6:15AM Sweep roadway approach for start/finish line area, to remove tripping hazards
#1 Saturday 6:00AM-6:15AM Set up sound system for announcements at Start/Finish Line area
#2 Saturday 6:00AM-6:30AM Hanging banners (Parking here, Registration here, Starting line, finish line)
#4 Saturday 6:15AM-8:15AM Registration assistance (obtaining signature on waiver, registration forms, collecting fees)
#2 Saturday 6:15AM-8:15AM Registration area, working table handing out promotional items and tee-shirts
#5 Saturday 7:45AM-9:15AM Street crossing guards at corners allong route
#4 Saturday 7:45AM-9:00AM Water stations, 2 attendents or more at each (filling passing out water cups,
#4 Saturday 8:15AM-10:00AM Finish line assistance
#2 Saturday 8:30AM-10:30AM Serving ice cream ("Dairy Days Dash" June is Dairy Month!)
#2 Saturday 9:30AM-10:00AM Drive allong route, pick up garbage, signage and water tables.
#4 Saturday 10:00AM-12:00PM Clean up fair grounds area and building after the event.
What should I wear? Sun-tan lotion (We're betting on wonderful sunny weather!) Brightly colored clothing preferred for best visibility, as our event is being held on public roads.
